Sigma Photo DP1 Compact Digital Camera

Sigma Photo presented its 14M compact digital camera called Sigma DP1 in Korea market, which is keeps compact size rather than the image sensor as used in most DSLRs.

Features a fixed 16.6mm F4.0 lens with a wide angle field of view equivalent to 28mm on a 35mm film camera, which has been developed to maximize the image quality in conjunction with the full color capture image sensor.

The DP1 is equipped with a 14 megapixel Foveon X3 direct image sensor to absorb red, green and blue light at different respective depths.

Adopting a 2.5-inch 230,000 pixel LCD monitor, this compact camera includes JPEG recording format for speed and convenience and a RAW data(X3F) recording mode.

It is expected to be released on March 7th for 899,000(KRW).
