Samsung E200 Olympic Eco Friendly Phone
Samsung Electronics has introduced a new environment-friendly mobile phones E200 Eco Friendly at the OR@S (Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung) in Beijing.

A slim bar 9.9mm thin E200 is relaunched with a new name, “Samsung E200 Eco. The phone is made with materials more important for the environment. All external his case is made from bio-plastic, which contains natural plant-based materials extracted from plants such as maize.
Samsung extend the application of bio-plastic efforts in reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process. 1-ton of bio-plastics used in Eco E200 is able to reduce 2.16-tonne of CO2 compared to polycarbonate products derived from oil. Samsung has made an effort to further develop renewable and environmentally friendly materials in collaboration with Cheil Industries.
In addition, Samsung E200 Eco is packaged in a non-coated box of recycled paper, which is also environmentally friendly. The mobile phone will be available on the European market since early September.
