Pentax K100D Digital SLR Most Wanted
December 19, 2007 | Digital Camera | 1 CommentThe Pentax K100D digital SLR has been announce on May 2006 with CCD-shift shake reduction system feature. With redesign body and viewfinder will reduce continuous shooting buffer, P-TTL flash metering and intruduction of in-camera Shake reduction.

The K100D include a 6.1 megapixel CCD, full manual control, a 2.5 inch LCD display, and all the scalability you expect from a digital SLR. The new Pentax K100D ($ 599 body only, $ 699 with lens) is very similar to its predecessor. Pentax does not include a memory card with the K100D, so you have to factor in the total purchase price.
The camera uses Secure Digital (SD) and MultiMediaCards, and if you use the firmware version 1.01 or later, you can use the new SD High Capacity (SD) cards. I would suggest picking up a 512 MB card for use with the camera.

Pentax includes two pieces of software with the K100D: Photo Browser and Photo Laboratory. There are Mac and Windows versions of each. Photo Browser 3 is fairly typical photo organizer. It’s going to download images from the camera and put them in order of the sticker usual.
