The camera has very good image quality, the camera has good detail and very good color. Lumix FZ18 ISO settings high ISO400 and above are probably best avoided that detail is missing from images. Indoors photos were good, with little or no red eyes, although the noise was visible in some shots. It gives you very good camera control over image quality with custom white balance, contrast, saturation, sharpness and other color options.

It offers more than most digital cameras, offering a wide angle 18x Leica lens, built in Optical Image Stabilization, a wide range of image options such as full manual modes. Battery life is good for an ultra zoom.
