Nokia 5800, previously known as the Tube, has gained much attention because it was the first response from Nokia to Apple iPhone - not a rival, but a phone with the same appearance and interface.

The touchscreen devices are increasingly popular, Nokia and the first attempt in this market - Nokia 5800 release - promises to be fruitful. As announced earlier, on October Nokia finally presented its first smartphone multimedia touch screen on Symbian - Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic aside the more interesting is that it operates on a first Symbian S60 made especially for touch screen control and high resolutions - S60 5th edition. It is designed to be controlled by either the thumb or stylus, with the ability to choose what you want most (unlike Windows Mobile, S60 5th edition is fully optimized for use of the thumb - although you f like, you can take the stylus and work with with no problems. On Windows Mobile every inch of exploitation are just a shell that works over pen-based OS). Wireless Bluetooth and Nokia Wi-Fi, which, in combination with its high resolution display makes 5800 a great Web browsing. Built in accelerometer adjusts the image on the screen if the position of the smartphone is changed portrait to landscape mode, this feature is present in almost all modern multimedia smartphone, so it is not a factor of more WOW.

Although aimed at music lovers, smartphone has everything that needed to listen in comfort - 3.5 mini slot for connecting almost all models of headphones to the device (no maps or property is necessary accessories;, powerful media player that runs smoothly and greatly benefits the size of the display - album art beautiful watch, especially if saved in high resolution, expandable memory via microSD cards - up to 16 Go is supported, 8 GB card comes with the phone. Text entry is entirely via the touch screen and virtual keyboard - it has two operating modes, one for the thumb entry and one for the stylus. Needless to say that phone supports 3G networks and has everything needed for video calls.
The first version of this smartphone interest will be published very soon - on black, red and blue will be sold at attractive price - 279 euros (about 380 U.S. dollars), with special edition “Nokia Comes With Music” launch in early 2009. It is curious how it will be compatible with a large amount of S60 applications and games that are already released. In any event, expect to see many applications written to use all Nokia opportunities Tube.
