Nokia 5800 Tube Xpress Music Phone

The touchscreen devices are increasingly popular, Nokia and the first attempt in this market – Nokia 5800 release – promises to be fruitful. As announced earlier, on October Nokia finally presented its first smartphone multimedia touch screen on Symbian – Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic aside the more interesting is that it operates on a first Symbian S60 made especially for touch screen control and high resolutions – S60 5th edition. It is designed to be controlled by either the thumb or stylus, with the ability to choose what you want most (unlike Windows Mobile, S60 5th edition is fully optimized for use of the thumb – although you f like, you can take the stylus and work with with no problems. On Windows Mobile every inch of exploitation are just a shell that works over pen-based OS). Interestingly enough, the Nokia smartphone geared not as a smartphone first class, but as a middle class music phone.
It is slightly with 3.2 sensor with 640 x 360 display resolution, which is larger than the iPhone and is capable of displaying images or movies very lively and brilliant, 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual LED flashlight, GPS. Text entry is entirely via the touch screen and virtual keyboard – it has two operating modes, one for the thumb entry and one for the stylus. Needless to say that phone supports 3G networks and has everything needed for video calls.
The first version of this smartphone interest will be published very soon – on black, red and blue will be sold at attractive price – 279 euros (about 380 U.S. dollars), with special edition “Nokia Comes With Music” launch in early 2009. It is curious how it will be compatible with a large amount of S60 applications and games that are already released. In any event, expect to see many applications written to use all Nokia opportunities Tube.
