Nikon D80 User Guide PDF Manual

To get great photos you still need to get yourself to the right place at the right time and point the camera in the right direction, which is a lot harder than mastering the D80. Right out of the box at default settings the D80 does a great job so long as you preset the exposure compensation to -0.7. Making a great photo involves locations, timing, patience and a whole lot more

Reset resets flash exposure compensations and sync modes, but doesn’t reset any screwy settings you may have made in Custom Setting 22 for remote or manual flash. Reset resets mostly everything tactical, which is mostly you see on the top LCD. It leaves alone strategic items like languages, file numbering and Optimize Image settings. Hold the weird rectangle button and spin the rear dial to set the metering modes to Matrix (weird rectangle), center weight (a dot with a ring around it) or spot (a small dot), as seen on the top LCD. There is no indication in the finder.

Professionals reformat a card each and every time a card is put in in the camera. This is because files and folder structures are sometimes messed up or changed when the card is read in-camera or with a reader or used in any other camera. Professionals prefer to be safe than sorry. We don’t use cards to archive previous photos. One time I kept saving my winner shots on a card by simply erasing the rest each time. After a few months I started to get errors. These went away as soon as I reformatted the card. Reformatting completely renovates the card. Erasing does not, and leaves potential errors lurking.

How to Connect Macbook to TV Manual Guide PDF Manual

You can use your computer to browse the World Wide Web, send email to friends and family, and chat in real time over the Internet. Use this information to help you connect to the Internet. When you first start up Mac OS X, Setup Assistant helps you enter your Internet configuration information. If you didn’t use Setup Assistant to configure your Internet connection, you can use Network Setup Assistant later (see “Using Network Setup Assistant to Connect” on page 119). If you don’t want to use Network Setup Assistant, you can use the information in this appendix to set up your connection manually.

There are four kinds of Internet connections:
- High-speed DSL or cable modem connection: Your computer is plugged into a special modem you get from an ISP using an Ethernet cable.
- AirPort Extreme wireless connection: Your computer is connected wirelessly to the Internet using an AirPort Extreme Base Station or AirPort Express.
- Local area network (LAN): Your computer is plugged into a LAN using an Ethernet cable. This type of connection is usually used in the workplace.
- Dial-up connection: Your computer is connected to an external modem that is plugged into a phone wall jack using a phone cable.

Before you connect to the Internet:
1. Set up an account with an Internet service provider (ISP).
2. Gather the connection information you need from your ISP or network administrator.
See the next section, “Gathering the Information You Need,” to find out what information to get for each type of connection. You can write the information directly on the next few pages, and then enter it in Setup Assistant.

NVidia Dual Monitor Setup for CAD PDF Manual

Dual monitors are entirely controlled from the graphics driver and the utilities provided by windows or the graphics card vendor. Products like Autodesk Inventor do not even know that dual monitors are being used.

• This document is provided to give some hints as to how to setup Nvidia’s nView multiple monitor software.
• Here is the setup I used. It is specific to the 4351 or newer driver from Nvidia.
• nView installs automatically after you hook up both monitors and start the workstation. If you are installing the 4351 driver, you are required to reboot.
• I followed the wizard, but it didn’t configure things as I desired, so I did it manually.
On the screen background use the right mouse button to select the display properties. Click on the Quadro 4 980 XGL tab (or the tab for your card), a navigation menu will pop out to the left, select nView Display Mode.

In this mode, the dimensions are the dimensions of both screens together. That is I now have a viewing area 2560 pixels wide and 1024 pixels high. The application only knows about the screen dimensions.

How to Setup Remote Access Linksys Router PDF Manual

When accessing remotely to your Desktop over the Internet, it’s best to have a domain name for your Router. The router comes with 30 days of the TZO Dynamic DNS service FREE. This service not only gives you a domain name, but also tracks your IP address and if it changes, TZO keeps it updated with your domain name. This article will show you how to sign up with your free trial of the TZO Dynamic DNS service and configure your Linksys Router to gain remote access.

Check if the PC you wish to Control has Remote Desktop installed and enabled. You first need to Setup/Enable the host computer so it can accept remote desktop connections and make sure your client has the remote desktop client application. For more details on setting up Remote Desktop, and using the Remote Desktop client application. Now that you have the “host” (the computer you want to control remotely) computer setup with Remote Desktop, you should then set a STATIC LAN IP address on that system. This ensures that when the host system is restarted, or rebooted, it will always comes up to the same LAN IP address on your router.

Set a Static LAN IP address on the Remote Desktop Host system. For stability and reliability reasons, on your private LAN you will assign your server a static LAN IP. This is not to be confused with ’static vs. dynamic’ Internet IP addresses. This is a local change made to improve your private network. Assuming your Linksys router is configured at the address 192.168.1.1, you will want to assign your server PC some fixed address. Configure your server with a static LAN IP address 192.168.1.200, which is the address used in our examples. This benefit of a static LAN IP is to avoid network-level problems that could happen if you change anything on your network, or lose power, etc.

Test the Remote Desktop Connection within your LAN. The test will ensure the Remote Desktop host is actually running, and accepting connections from another PC on your same network. On your test PC, go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications , and select Remote Desktop Connection (see screenshot below). Next to the field labeled Computer, type in the TZO DOMAIN NAME that you set in the router in step 2, in this case we used Name.LinksysNet.com – hit connect. You should then be connected with the host system. Use your login just as you would on the host to login.

Remote Desktop Setup Guide PDF Manual

Windows XP Professional includes a hosting utility called Remote Desktop that can be used by the PC in your store to enable access to all of your applications from any PC with Windows XP (Home or Professional) and an internet connection. Remote Desktop is an absolutely fantastic utility that once setup at the host location, is easy to use and gives you the freedom to work from anywhere – just like you were at your store.

The document provides a technical overview of how to setup Remote Desktop with a router using a dynamic IP address. In order to be able to perform a successful setup, the installer should have a working knowledge of manually configuring a PC’s IP address, and working with a router’s configuration utility.

If you have a router capable of updating a dynamic domain name service and also forwarding IP addresses and ports, you may be able to use Remote Desktop with very little effort. The first thing to do is determine what kind of router you have and if it will support a dynamic domain name service like DynDNS.org. DynDNS.org offers a free service that helps you access your dynamic IP address easily. Linksys routers have a section in their menus called DDNS for dynamic DNS. If your router supports DynDNS.org, follow the instructions below.

The next thing to do is to enable Remote Desktop on the computer that you will connect to. Right click on My Computer, select Properties, and click on the Remote tab. Check the box that says Allow users to connect remotely to this computer.
