Successfully backing up and restoring Proloquo2Go™ using iTunes requires that if you have a problem you change your iTunes settings to manual sync before connecting your iPhone or iPod, because if you automatic sync, you could overwrite your backup and no longer be able to restore from the backup

It is important to back up, especially when you make major changes to Proloquo2Go. Creating a back up by syncing with iTunes or creating a manual back up in iTunes saves all of the data in Proloquo2Go, including system settings. This process may take quite some time, up to an hour, or just a few minutes, depending on how much data is on your device.
