BMW iPod Manual Guide
The interface lets you connect your iPod or iPod mini directly to your BMW audio system. The iPod interface translate commands from your BMW radio into commands the iPod understands. The interface allows your iPod or iPod mini to take the place of a BMW CD charger, although there will be differences in operation as noted.
The interface is compatible with iPd (G3) and iPod mini model featuring a dock connector. The functionality and features of the iPod interface described in this owners manual are confirmed with firmware version 1.1 for iPod mini, and firmware version 2.2 for iPod.
