Google Android Open Handset Alliance
Google announce their new products Open Device Alliance with Android platform. Many people thought that Google would be announcing its own competitor to the iPhone, but rumors “Gphone” was actually a rumor after all.

Open Device Alliance consists of a number of high visibility. Concerned manufacturers are HTC, LG, Samsung and Motorola, as well as technology companies Intel, Broadcom, Marvell (manufacturing Xscale processor), Qualcomm, SiRF (GPS), carriers T-Mobile, Telefonica, Telecom Italia and Sprint in addition to Google and eBay and a variety of other partners.
OpenMoko Neo1973 is also designed to be a Linux-based software platform open, encouraging and OpenMoko same material modification of their combined. And it is worth pointing out that the approach that the Open Device Alliance took almost diametrically opposed to Apple’s tightly controlled iPhone device.
Open Device Alliance will be a preview of the developer kit android later this month, and the first aircraft could be launched during the second half of 2008. Of course, this is far from age when it comes to designing the handset, and the android might be in competition with the forthcoming Nokia phones touchscreen, and perhaps even the iPhone 2.
